how were the rules changed to "specifically" disadvantage teams from the south and west.
back in the day, ASU and other teams could start practicing long before teams in the east, north and midwest could even find their field from under the snow.
the NCAA pushed back the start date so that all teams can have the same number of practices before the season started.
