It's going to come down to the fundamentals: sound defense, good pitching and patience at the plate. No first pitch swinging. No swinging at pitches by their feet or heads. Make their pitcher work. Get his pitch count up. We need to clean up the errors. We had 7 in the ucla series. We cannot afford to come out flat. Most importantly the coaches must be ready to make a change if our starter is struggling to find the strike zone, falling behind hitters, walking batters, etc. We cannot wait until we are down a bunch of runs to make a change. I think Jared Glenn deserves to start, he pitched very well in game 3 vs ucla. Tyler Thornton last outing vs ucla was atrocious. We can win this but we have to show up ready to play
