: It would be interesting to see if they get much return on their investment. I wonder how long he plans on coaching and then maybe turning it over to his son.
: Go Devils!
Went to watch softball practice yesterday, you think I stumbled into Ft Knox with all the security and policeman in the parking lot,the Seahawks were practicing in the football practice fields, apparently the softball team also couldn't get in to practice!
Auburn is improving, they were a last place team in the SEC when Clint Myers took over that program last year, that's why they hired him to compete against Alabama for the SEC title!
Auburn made a big improvement last year but I feel it will take two or more years before they can actually challenge for the conference title.Myers will have to recruit his own players and develop them much like he did at ASU, when he took over at ASU he had Katie Burkhart, who was a great pitcher and Kaitlin Cochran who was probably the best overall player to play at ASU,he didn't have that quality of players when he took over at Auburn last year!
Auburn plays Arizona & ASU in the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton this year so it will be interesting to see how they do.I usually make the drive to Fullerton to watch ASU play in the tournament,I plan to make the drive again this year, curious to see how ASU plays against Auburn!
I have no idea how long Clint plans to coach at Auburn, when he was at ASU he always said he had a lot of years left at ASU, you know how that turned out! I was at the Premier Nat softball championships in Huntington Beach,Ca this past summer watching the top AAU softball teams play and I ran into Corey Myers,he came over said hi and we had a nice conversation.Clint and his family always treated me good.
